Who/What influenced you to begin acting?

I loved the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid growing up. Paul Newman and Robert Redford were my inspirations.

Are there any actors you consider role models?

I still love Paul Newman.

What is your dream role in a movie? As in, if you could play any character from any movie or book, who would that character be?

That's a tough question. There are so many great books, and movies, I don't know if I have a favorite to pull from.

How has acting affected your family life? What do your daughters think of your profession?

My daughters are used to us being actors, so they aren't really affected by it much, except when dad has to go on location and they don't get to see me for a little while. That is always hard on them.

Did you read Twilight, or any other books in the series, before you knew you were part of the cast? What are your views on the books?

I read the first book the day before my audition, in order to understand the role. I fell in love with the book, have read the whole series, and patiently await the release of book 4.

How is Twilight different from anything else you've filmed?

I've never played a doctor, or a Vampire before. Also the shooting style is a lot different. It is mostly hand held camera, and will definitely have a feel that is different than other movies.

How are you similar to/different from Carlisle?

I think I share Carlisle's compassion towards others. I care a lot about people in general, and love to strike up conversation with total strangers and learn about their lives. I love people, much like he does.

What scene are you most excited about filming and/or seeing in the movie?

I loved shooting the Vampire Baseball sequence, and think that will be fun to watch.

Out of everyone in the cast, who do you think is most like their character?

Edward has taken Rob over. And Kristen has a sweetness about her, much like Bella.

Music plays a large part in the books. If your life was represented through a song, what song/genre would it be?

I have no idea.

What do you like to do in the event that you have free time (lucky!) on set?

We have such limited free time. I usually spend it resting to recharge my batteries.

Let's say you are a Stephenie Meyer-esque vampire; what age would you want to be stuck at forever and why?

I started writing an answer and changed about 5 times before I realized that's a tough question. I wouldn't want to get stuck under 18, or over 40. Somewhere in between.

Regardless of your role in the movie, who are you rooting for: the wolves or the vampires?

I'm biased, so I have to say Vampires. But I do like when they team up.

How do you think you're life will change after the movie, if at all?

I don't know. I've done a lot of movies and I like to think each one I do makes me think more about life and grow as a person, but in regards to success, whether the movie is sucessful or not won't really affect who I am.

What do you think of the rabid, crazed, somewhat delirious... I mean, loveable fans? ;D

I'm one one of them. :)
