Riding in Cars with Boys (2001)

Character: Tommy Butcher

In this film Peter works alongside Drew Barrymore, James Woods and Brittany Murphy, a story based on the memoir by Beverly Donofrio. Peter portrays Tommy Butcher, a slightly nerdy guy in high school that has a crush on Bev. At the age of 16 Beverly finds herself pregnant and having to tell her mother and father a tough but good natured cop her plans for the future. Her boyfriend steps up and they get married and have the baby, she is still determined to go to college in New York and become a writer. With time that dream becomes more and more difficult as does her marriage. Peter makes another appearance just a lot different than the first and trying to help an old friend out. Peter shows us how well he is at his craft because you would swear his 2 appearances in this film are not the same person.
